Washington Covena is a healthcare executive with over 25 years of expertise in integrating processes, personnel, branding, marketing, and consumer engagement. His experience spans business strategy, cost of care management, account management, organizational growth, and consumer engagement. Prior to his role at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, he held multiple positions at UnitedHealth Care, such as National Strategic Executive, Director of TPA services, and VP of Public Sector and Labor Markets.

 

He now serves as Vice President of Commercial Verticals and Strategy at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, focusing on devising innovative health products and services for local government entities, educational institutions, hospitals, and specialized markets.
