Arizona’s Premier Hot Air Balloon Race & Festival

Dates: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, February 3rd, 4th & 5th, 2023 – KICK OFF TO SUPER BOWL LVII WEEK!!!
Gates Open & Close: Friday 4:00PM – 9PM; Saturday 7:00AM – 9PM; Sunday 7:00AM – 12PM (subject to change)
Balloon Event Times: Morning “Road Runner Race” competition (Saturday and Sunday): 7:30AM – 8:30AM; Evening Glows (Friday & Saturday): 7:30PM – 9:00PM (times subject to change)
*PLEASE NOTE: Balloon Liftoffs & Glows times are always dependent upon weather conditions.
Location: Goodyear Ballpark – 1933 S. Ballpark Way, Goodyear, Arizona 85338
Beneficiary: Valley of the Sun United Way - Valley of the Sun United Way’s mission is to break the cycle of poverty for Valley families. “We fight to end hunger in the classroom, to end homelessness, and to put a stop to financial instability.” A portion of ticket sales will go directly back to Valley of the Sun United Way programs. Attendance: Over 20,000 spectators are expected to enjoy this community and destination event.
Balloons: Up to 25 hot-air balloons, including special shapes, will participate
Events: The Arizona Balloon Classic” – On Saturday and Sunday mornings, February 4th & 5th, the sky will be filled with colorful hot-air balloons participate in thrilling “Road Runner & Coyote” races from the grassy fields of the Goodyear Ballpark for a spectacular sight of mass and color. Spectators can walk on the field and experience the balloons inflation and lift off. Photo taking is invited.
DESERT GLOWS & LASER SHOWS on Friday and Saturday evenings, February 3rd & 4th are our most popular attended events. A field full of illuminated, tethered, hot air balloons will glow in time to music. And our LASER SHOWS Dance to music on the Classic Stage.
Other Events: Hot Air Balloon rides, Family Fun Zone, BMX Stunt shows, Desert Winds Kite Festival, Hot Air Balloon Tether rides, Live Entertainment, sampling, and many other exciting events. Retail shopping and commercial exhibits for purchases or browsing.
Street FoodFest: Our “Street Foodfest” is set with a culinary experience including festival food favorites, “Beer Stations”, Live music on the “Classic” stage and more. Come hungry and stay for a while…
Admission: For any one day - $30 at the gate. DISCOUNT tickets on sale starting in November. Active Military and Children 12 & under are always FREE. Group ticket packages available. General parking $5-$10. PLEASE NOTE, NO PETS ALLOWED. ALL BALLOONING EVENTS ARE DEPENDENT UPON WEATHER CONDITIONS. NO REFUNDS. RAIN CHECKS OFFERED TO OTHER BALLOON EVENTS DUE TO CANCELLATION.
